Best to Suffer Alone

Learn to suffer alone
In silence in both head and heart
Know that life is pain
Comfort is ephemeral
Love is an illusion
Affections only lead to malice and torment
Learn to suffer alone
For there is nothing else to be done
If one were to hear me suffering, it only brings pity
And if there is love, it will never heal
To listen to the heart ache, is meaningless
For it is so easily manipulated and enslaved
To listen to the mind resent and remorse
A waste of energy and time
But know that eventually, death will come in knock
For in the zenith of twilight
All life must learn to die
What more to the suffering who have lost their purpose
Or have no purpose at all
When the reason to live is gone
When the truth I have fought for betrays
Fret not, complain not
For they are useless efforts
The sun will never encourage
The moon will never give the comforting smile
No star will shed a tear
No wind to sing soft toned lullabies
No tree will bow and listen to the grieving soul
No one will come, maybe even the one who may matter most
So, I will shed not a tear
Nor utter a sob
A sigh of neglect, perhaps
But what to complain?
For everything is done with a reason
Whatever happens, is justified by Heaven
So move not in cowardice, my spirit
We will suffer the torture alone
It is ours to embrace
With our calm and stoic nature
Within the darkness once again
We will no longer be toyed
We will never be betrayed
Since we suffer alone
We are dead
And that is all we are good for, oh my soul
